about

This is the second single off our upcoming album "Human | Nature", scheduled for release on Oct. 2, 2018.

On the surface, I Disappear seems to be about insomnia, and it is to some extent. However, the lyrics imply a more complex situation: that of living “beneath the weight of memory”, the fear of being forgotten and of ultimately disappearing. The line, “you blink and I disappear”, alludes to memory’s haunting and ephemeral nature.

lyrics

I Disappear
© 2018 Ambiguous Productions

I hear voices in the night,
The snores of pets as they dream.
This tired house cracks like ice
Beneath the weight of memory.

I lay upon an unmade bed
Cradled by passivity.
Watching previews of my life.
Comforted by vanity.

(Chorus)
Every night it’s all the same,
Days keep turning into years.
Your words burn just like a flame,
You blink and I disappear.

I hear whispers in the night,
The ghosts of all humanity.
Someone’s trying to ignite
The fuse that is my sanity.

(Chorus)

I hear voices in the night,
Obscured by ambiguity.
Am I wrapped within this dream,
Beneath the weight of memory?

(Chorus)
